Prema Sagar is Principal and Founder of Genesis Burson-Marsteller.

Genesis Public Relations, which Prema established in November of 1992, mirrors the journey of the profession in India. An alumna of the Frank Jefkins Institute, U.K, Prema launched the firm at the advent of the economic reforms in India with just one client and one colleague. It is recognised today as India's most trusted public relations and public affairs firm. In 2008, it was ranked as 'India Consultancy of the Year' by The Holmes Report,
acknowledging Prema’s success in nurturing reputation whilst managing complex issues in a business environment rife with inherent contradictions.

Prema has played a leadership role in the industry demonstrated in her role as the Founding President of the Public Relations Consultants Association of India (PRCAI), Council Member for India of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) and member of the global Board of Management of the International Communication Consultancies Organisation (ICCO).

In recognition of her contribution to global public relations, Prema was invited as the only Indian on the global jury for the first ever PR Lions at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival 2009. She was earlier inducted into the 'ICCO Hall of Fame', the first Asian to receive this rare honour, joining a select group of global personalities including Daniel Edelman, Founder and Chairman of Edelman, John D. Graham, Chairman & CEO, Fleishman-Hillard and Harold Burson, founding Chairman, Burson-Marsteller.

As a successful entrepreneur, she mentors future leaders as a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs, the world's largest not-for-profit organisation promoting entrepreneurship.

Inspired by Mother Teresa, Prema established the Genesis Foundation, a trust created to provide access to world class medical care for abandoned and underprivileged children facing life-threatening ailments. The work at the foundation is Prema's life mission.

Prema is married to a lawyer. Her son is a professor and daughter is pursuing further studies.

 
As the chief executive of Genesis Burson-Marsteller, Ashwani Singla’s core responsibility is to shape the business and the service strategy of the firm.

Under his tutelage, genesis has grown into India’s most trusted public relations consultancy setting standards of excellence, benchmarking and cutting edge management practices

After seeing to the successful transformation of genesis to its new Avatar Genesis Burson-Marsteller, Ashwani was invited to serve on the Asia Pacific Board of Burson-Marsteller.

He has close to two decades of experience of which he has spent over a decade working with clients in developing their public relations programmes. His work has seen him consult across a range of diverse sectors, from IT, Telecom, FMCG, Fashion & Lifestyle, Media & Entertainment, Automobiles, Power & Gas, and Financial Services amongst others. He has counselled multinationals corporations, domestic enterprises and the emerging Indian Multinational enterprises.

Ashwani is a firm believer in public relations programmes that make a difference to the business of his clients; he has initiated and led many of the best practices prevalent in the Indian industry public relations today. He often dons the professorial hat in teaching courses and conducting training programmes in public relations across the country and actively initiates dialogue on the subject of reputation in his blog Reputare.

Ashwani plays an active role in his community supporting causes dear to him. He is a trustee of the Genesis Foundation, which facilitates medical treatment for orphans and underprivileged children faced with life threatening medical challenges. He is an India Chapter board member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and also plays an active role in the Public Relations Consultants Association of India (PRCAI) and the International Communications Consultancy Organization (ICCO).

He is an honours graduate in Economics and holds a postgraduate qualification in International Business & a diploma in Hotel Management; Ashwani started his career with the hospitality division of ITC Ltd.

He is married to Sheila who runs a practice in Human Performance Improvement. They have a generous and a sensitive son Aditya, who is madly in love with horses, puppies and dinosaurs!
