Deepshikha brings over two decades of rich and varied experience in public relations and communication. Her role spans the two key drivers of business growth for the firm—clients and talent. On the one hand, it encompasses growth of clients and partnerships along with developing new services to deliver on the company’s promise of integrated communication for global and Indian brands. This also includes new business development, marketing initiatives and all external communication. And on the other hand, she leads talent management as well as learning and development, helping to create an enabling environment and a strong values-driven culture, along with a backbone of processes and infrastructure for the company’s next level of growth.

Based in Mumbai, Deepshikha began her career with Genesis Burson-Marsteller in client services. Her experience includes 12 years as market leader for the western region and 4 years as Chief Talent Officer for the firm. Deepshikha led the regional expansion of Genesis Burson-Marsteller in the west with the setting up of the Mumbai office in 1996 and Pune in 1998. In this role, she oversaw all client relationships in the region, providing strategic counsel and advise on public relations campaigns. Thereafter, in her role as Chief Talent Officer, she was responsible for hiring, nurturing and developing talent across the firm. She developed and delivered several learning programmes which are relevant and customised to the public relations business and was also responsible for formulating the curriculum and delivery of the one-year Associate Learning Programme, which is the only one of its kind in the country as well as conceptualing and launching the LEAP programme for future leaders.

Deepshikha brings an in-depth and keen understanding of India’s dynamic and rapidly expanding public relations industry. Leveraging this experience and insight, she has been counselling clients across a variety of industries ranging from consumer products, technology, automotive and financial services. Some of her most exciting  communications campaigns have been for clients like Vodafone, Hindustan Unilever Brands, Kotak Financial Group, Colgate, Kelloggs, Sony Entertainment, Discovery Channel, BCG, Accenture etc.

Deepshikha holds a master’s degree in business economics from Delhi University and is an active leader in India’s public relations industry initiatives, including her term as President of the Public Relations Consultants Association of India (PRCAI) in 2008. She frequently takes part in leadership training and brand communications workshops, both conducting and as a participant.
